Nothing has changed since we were first created as extensions of God's Love and Peace and Goodwill. Nothing has changed. Everything is intact, untouched, undisturbed. And always will be. Even if storms rage around us and about us and over us and underneath, we are the impermeable spaces of God's love.
Light pours out from us even when we are unaware of it. Love pours out from us even if we only feel vestiges of it or conflict is our immediate experience. Goodwill lies inside, dormant but alive. Goodwill that we are secretly pouring onto everyone we meet.
Can we bring our true and secret lives out to the forefront of our experience. Indeed we can.
For moments and spells, we stop seeing with our false, mortal eyes. Imagine that Great Light surrounding you and shining out from you. Imagine the unbounded love that rests in the heart and being of the one you're with, regardless of what is being presented.
And as for goodwill, how sweet it is to bless your friend. You bless them with your own, great holiness, obliterating all the crazy attempts at hostility that feel so real but don't have an ounce of reality to call their own. Made-up conflict. Bless your brother instead. " I bless you. I honor you. I love you. I thank you. "
Reaching down into the truth of you, drawing it forth and piercing through the clouds of ego in both of your minds. Hold onto the truth. Interrupt your foggy, seductive mind over and over. Create a cocoon of grace, right there between your heart and another's and for a sacred moment, feel it becoming that one heart of inclusion, equality and upliftment.
Nothing has changed. Despite the innumerable times we've run around this earth and universe, lost in linear time, believing in moving bodies and images and phenomena - an imagined world of shadows and separation.
Nestled in the heart and ready to expand with just our own longing and encouragement lies 'the greatest story ever told'. The only thing that's not a story. The rock of truth that is our Father's House, our eternal shelter, our one abiding home.
Sooooo beautiful and timely, dearest Pema. Always, the wisdom that pours through the lovely vessel that is you inspires and warms and the heart. Thank you so much: the 'greatest story ever told' takes on new and enlightening meaning now. So much love and gratitude for the light that is you.
