This prayer/poem is dedicated to all of us healing from the original loss of love. Gratefully, the Heart wins through and calls all of us who believed themselves to be unlovable back into Its ever open, waiting arms.
Child Of Unworthiness
Dear child of unworthiness
Let me hold you close for what may be these last few times
Caress your sweet face, your precious limbs
These holy limbs of God
How can I say goodbye to you my love
My closest one
You have lived in the marrow of these bones
You have given me a life
A hunchback of a life
The perfect life for freedom's call
A harsh and merciless land of less than, better than
Of grinding, grating thought with no reprieve
Where sister becomes enemy in the flash of a stinging thought
My brother's suffering pursued in the cruel hope of relieving my own
Dear Father God, Beloved Heart
It is only to You that I can bring this child
Take her home now, her great work is done
She has brought me unerringly to Your shores
Pardon her dear Father for ever believing she was anything other than Your own precious child
Bury her in the voluminous folds of Your merciful, bountiful heart
May she rest here now forevermore
Dissolved, adored and free....at last.
Ever-grateful for this river of Love ~ thank you for allowing this outpouring of Compassion ~
