I find it a helpful spiritual practice to remind myself at moments that 'this is as good as it gets'. The mind is a movement of energy out, out to thought, to experience, to desires, fears.
'This is as good as it gets' is a stopper. It can for a brief spell stop the movement of attention out and land you just here. Just here. No next moment. Nothing better than this. Nothing needing to be better, nicer than this. No place to arrive at. It bypasses all the unresolved issues, material of your life, futurized yearnings. 'As good as it gets' includes what's here, any sensations, any brokeness of body, just includes it without any thoughts about it.
Let it all end here. Let all the striving for betterness come to rest in this 'nothing going on'. Nothing happening. NOTHING happening.
